As Co-Chair of the Andean Parliament's High-Level Working Group for the Amazon, Carlo served as lead author of the landmark Amazon Report, translating frontier science into a regional policy pathway that contributed to the declaration of an international emergency for the Amazon Basin.
Developed with technical support from the Science Panel for the Amazon and co-authored with leading scientists including Carlos Nobre and Marielos Peña-Claros.

Carlo is an inaugural Fellow of the Science Panel for the Amazon, a Steering Committee member of the Science Panel for the Andes, Impact Director at C Minds and a global board member of the International Youth Foundation.
His work has contributed to initiatives with UNESCO, the World Economic Forum, the Andean Parliament and leading international institutions.
He holds a Master of Public Administration in Global Leadership from Columbia University and has completed executive programs at Harvard, Oxford and Yale.
